Halcyon Hot Springs
Lithia-rich pools terraced above Upper Arrow Lake, north of Nakusp.
Halcyon Hot Springs terraces its pools down a hillside above Upper Arrow Lake, with some of the best soaking views in the Kootenays. The water is unusually rich in lithia (lithium salts) and has no sulphur smell; a hot pool around 37–40°C, a warm pool, a 27°C swimming pool and a cold plunge cover every taste.
Day visitors can buy a 9am–5pm day pass or a 5–9pm evening pass, and the last hour (8–9pm) is adults-only. The resort also offers cabins, dining and a spa, making it an easy overnight from Revelstoke or Nakusp.
