BC Hot Springs Directory

Halfway River Hot Springs

Open

Upgraded wild pools and forest camping between Nakusp and Revelstoke.

Halfway River is the sweet spot between wild and managed: natural hot pools beside a rushing river, but with a proper recreation site around them — 20 vehicle campsites, 10 walk-in tent sites, outhouses, a change room and a live-in attendant through the season. The upgraded soaking pools run hotter nearer the source.

Camping is first-come, first-served with a fee from May 1 to October 31. In winter the 11 km gravel access road usually snows in; hardy locals park on Hwy 23 and walk or snowshoe down for a steaming, snow-banked soak.
