Halfway River Hot Springs
Upgraded wild pools and forest camping between Nakusp and Revelstoke.
Halfway River is the sweet spot between wild and managed: natural hot pools beside a rushing river, but with a proper recreation site around them — 20 vehicle campsites, 10 walk-in tent sites, outhouses, a change room and a live-in attendant through the season. The upgraded soaking pools run hotter nearer the source.
Camping is first-come, first-served at $20 per night (cash; $10/night for seniors 65+ and persons with disabilities), May 1 to October 31. RSTBC currently lists the site as open, but the access road is scheduled to close September 16–October 25, 2026 for bridge replacement. In winter the 11 km gravel access road usually snows in.
