Pitt River Hot Springs

Open · expedition only

A boat, a bike and a rope descent — BC’s most pristine soak, earned the hard way.

Pitt River Hot Springs may be the most pristine soak in southern BC precisely because almost nobody earns it. There is no road: the classic trip is a boat ride 30 km up Pitt Lake, then roughly 22 km by bike on a flat logging road up the Upper Pitt valley, finishing with a short hike and a steep rope-assisted scramble down to riverside pools.

Water taxis from Grant Narrows (around $400–500 return for a small group, arranged through Pitt River Lodge or local operators) handle the lake leg. Go self-sufficient: this is remote country with no facilities and no cell coverage.
